In partnership with the Moonshot Museum, our Space Day takes young explorers on an out-of-this-world adventure! Thanks to the Pittsburgh Zoo, our Zoo Day brings the wonders of wildlife to The Reading Room! Kids and families can enjoy fascinating animal-themed stories, hands-on activities, and exciting encounters with zoo ambassadors. This engaging event fosters a love for nature, conservation, and the incredible creatures that share our world.

Our Back-to-School Drive ensures that every child starts the school year ready to succeed. Families can pick up free backpacks, school supplies, and age-appropriate books to support learning at home and in the classroom. This program helps alleviate financial stress for parents while equipping kids with the tools they need for a confident, successful start to the year.

Our Teacher Supply Drive supports educators by providing free classroom essentials to help them create engaging and well-equipped learning environments. From books and art supplies to organizational tools, this program eases the financial burden on teachers and ensures they have the resources needed to inspire and educate their students. Together, we’re investing in classrooms and the future of our children.

Our Movie Night: Based on a Book brings stories to life on the big screen! Families can enjoy a special screening of a popular movie inspired by a beloved book, followed by engaging discussions or fun activities that explore the story's themes.
